No, the surf lessons are selected separately from the accommodation. The booking process allows you to select the surf and yoga lessons right after you choose the accommodation type.
Surf lessons are suited for beginners and intermediates. Whether you are just starting or wanting to improve on your skills, Wave Nest is the right place to learn the fundamentals of surfing, and much more.
To ensure the top quality of our lessons, we only allow up to 5 students per group in a lesson.
Whether you are taking lessons or doing your own thing, you have access to all surf and yoga equipment, so you can practice as much as you’d like.
Yes, we provide private surfing lessons that are ideal for people wanting to improve faster and more safely.
No, you can book yoga lessons separately from the accommodation, just like the surf lessons. We typically have 1 to 2 yoga sessions happening every day.
There is no need for you to bring your own yoga mat, as we provide yoga mats to use.
For surfing, you should have with you:

For Yoga, you need:

We are located in the north of Portugal, in a beachside town called “Quiaios”, inside the campsite “Parque de campismo de Quiaios”.

Yes, you can park your car in the main parking just outside the campsite.
The beach is less than 10 minutes walking distance from Wave Nest.

Yes! If a group has more than 8 people, we can arrange a bus to/from the camp.
We recommend bringing comfortable beachwear, swimwear, and a warm layer for cooler evenings. Don’t forget essentials like sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, flip-flops, and a beach towel.

This Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings made with Wave Nest Surf Camp, operated by Duarte & Fariñas, Lda. By making a reservation, you agree to the terms outlined below.
To confirm a booking, a 50% deposit is required.
The remaining balance must be paid before arrival at the camp.
Guests may cancel their booking free of charge within 30 days after the booking date.
During this period, the 50% deposit is fully refundable.
The following rules apply after the free cancellation window:

Cancellations made 30 days or less before the arrival date are non-refundable.

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, stays, and services provided by Wave Nest Surf Camp, operated by Duarte & Fariñas, Lda. (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking or staying with us, you agree to the following terms.
Check-in: Before 00:00 (midnight)
Check-out: Before 12:00 (midday)
Late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
All guests must present a valid ID or passport upon arrival.
A 50% deposit is required to secure any booking.
The deposit is refundable only within the free cancellation period.
The remaining balance must be paid before arrival to the camp.

If cancelled 60 days before the arrival date, we refund 50% of the deposit.

Guests participate in all activities at their own risk, including:
Movement to and from lesson locations
Free surf, beach activities, or other recreational activities outside instruction time
We are not responsible for:
Lost or stolen items
Damages or injuries occurring during free time, outside activities, or in transit to/from lessons
All guests must sign a liability and media waiver upon check-in.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, the following rules apply:
Weekdays: 23:00 to 08:00
Weekends: 00:00 to 08:00
No smoking inside tents or in the dining area.
Dedicated smoking areas are provided.
Only alcohol purchased from our on-site bar is permitted.
Outside alcohol is not allowed.
The use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. Violation may result in immediate removal without refund.
Guests are financially responsible for:
Damages to accommodation interiors, furniture, décor, or equipment
Loss or damage to linens, bedding, or camp property
Misuse or negligent handling of camp equipment
In case of damage:
A report will be prepared by management
The cost of repair or replacement will be assessed
Charges will be invoiced to the guest and must be settled promptly
We maintain insurance coverage for guest-caused damages; however, this does not absolve guests of responsibility for negligent or intentional damage.
For safety and comfort:
Guests must follow staff instructions regarding equipment, tents, and communal areas
Only designated staff may operate camp machinery or restricted areas
Guests are responsible for:
Using pathways and facilities responsibly
Exercising caution during night hours
Securing their belongings
Respecting weather warnings and staff guidance
Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from activities or the premises without refund.
We are not responsible for:
Theft
Loss
Damage to personal items
We recommend not leaving valuables unattended and using secure storage options when available.
Guests under 18 are allowed only when:
Accompanied by a legal parent or guardian OR
A parental waiver is signed prior to arrival
We reserve the right to request proof of age and authorization.
We aim to resolve all concerns professionally and promptly.
