Wave Nest Surf Camp is a sustainable surf tourism provider, offering guests a unique blend of surf, yoga, nature, and social experiences. Our goal is to create unforgettable weeks filled with connection and adventure for people from all over the world.

☀️Position Overview:

Are you planning on having one of the best summers of your life? We are looking for a crew of volunteers to enjoy our camp like one of our very own guests. In exchange for a minimal work load, we provide you with accommodation, meals, daily activities, sports equipment and free access to surf and yoga lessons. This role is for people looking to expand their knowledge through meeting a lot of new people and learning the most amazing things, while having a blast of a time.

✅Key Responsibilities:

• ‍Help the roles in charge in anything they need, from preparing meals, to serving meals, cleaning dishes and spaces, cleaning the tents, cleaning the bar. 
• Work in a supportive team environment, where every simple task given is key for a perfect roll of each shift.
• Receive orders from a head of Volunteers, where the main priority is to ensure everyone’s safety, while providing a peaceful and enjoyable vibe.
• Maintain your living and workplace clean and organised.
• It is very important to be able to ask for help, as we believe everyone starts from somewhere, we learn as we go. Your duty is to take this role as a continuous learning position.

🏅Requirements:

• Have some experience working in a fast paced environment, whether from work experience or educational background.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently.‍
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Be willing to learn new things and get out of your comfort zone.
• Able to give opinion in order to make the general camp better.

✍🏼Daily tasks at Wave Nest

As a Volunteer, you are here to have an amazing summer experience surrounded by nature, sun and a lot of diversified people. Beyond your daily tasks, we believe that your place in the activities we provide is essential for a great environment.

⚡️Lightning operation:

After checkout on Saturdays, around 12am, the entire Wave Nest crew will unite to deep clean the camp for a few hours. Each member of the crew has a role, from stripping old bedding, to sweeping floors, making the beds and ensuring the tent looks inviting and ensuring shared spaces are refreshed.

• Accommodation: Embrace surf camp life inside a tent in the staff camping zone. Your accommodation includes a proper mattress, bedframe, pillow, blanket, and bedding, along with access to electricity.
• Meals: Enjoy homemade breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day, prepared by our talented kitchen team.
• Surf Gear: You will have access to all surfing material, as well as access to our high performance surfboards made by Fatum Surfboards for advanced surfers.
• Yoga Classes: If the daily yoga session slots aren’t full, you can put your name down and enjoy a free session with our yoga instructor. 
• Activities: Crew or guests, everyone is more than welcome to join our activities programmed for everyone to enjoy making new friends and having a great time.
• Time Off: Benefit from one day off per week, aligned with the main department’s schedule, to explore the surroundings, spend the whole day in the water or simply relax and recharge.
